Advisory Notice

Horse riding can be dangerous. IT IS A RISK SPORT. We will assess your riding capability and every effort will be made to provide you with a horse that is suitable for your experience and ability. However, even the most reliable horses can be unpredictable at time, and accidents can still happen which could result in you being injured. YOU PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Registration information

I confirm that to the best of my knowledge all the information given is correct. We will not take responsibility if the information provided in a horse or pony allocated that's is beyond the capability of the rider. This form must be signed by a parent or guardian of riders under the age of 16 years.

Assessments

Our staff are always making assessments of our clients coming to the centre, this allows them to help support and progress each individuals needs and wants. Every effort will be made to provide you with a horse or pony that is suitable for your experiences and ability from the information that you have provided.

Lesson and Payment

Payment MUST be paid online in advance or on the day (Online or in cash). Receipts and invoices will be given and sent, in which they are to be dealt with appropriately. The lesson starts when the staff collects you from the yard and finishes when you return to the yard. We reserve the right to withdraw any client who we feel is unsafe for the lesson.

Cancellation

We ask that you please give 24hrs notice when cancelling a lesson and that you understand that if you choose to cancel a lesson without giving 24hrs notice there will be a charge of 100% of the lesson value. We reserve the right to cancel without giving a reason.

Clothing

Clients are requested to wear suitable clothing for riding. Hard hats to be worn at all times when mounted, correctly fitted with the chin strap fastened, and must be correct British standard. We recommend you wear gloves and either Jodhpurs, Breeches, Leggings or jogging bottoms, as jeans can cause uncomfortable rubs. Footwear should be jodhpur boots, long boots or if you don't have these yet a pair of boots or shoes with a flat sole or block heel. For health and safety reasons we recommend that clients do not wear jewelry whilst riding or handling horses and that long hair is tied back. British Standard fitted body protectors of your own are welcome if you'd prefer.

Medical Information

You must advise us of all previous incidents, injuries or medical conditions that may affect you riding safely with us. Withholding any information may affect how we handle any incident that may require emergency attention.

Health and Safety

Riding is recognized as a high risk sport, as a riding facility we do have our own insurance. (Personal accident or riding insurance is available elsewhere if you feel necessary). Although we have taken every precaution we can to minimize the associated risks, horses are still unpredictable animals, so please take care and accept the accidents may happen. Clients are always very welcome to help in any way on the yard but please ensure you have been invited by a member of staff before doing so. Your choice to ride or help on the yard is voluntary/ part of the lesson so please accept that you do so at your own risk and do not hold the riding centre or its staff responsible for accidental damage or injury. 

Please do not enter stables or fields or feed the horses/ponies without permission or assistance from a staff member. Property and vehicles are left on the property at the owners risk. All barns and agricultural areas are completely OFF LIMITS unless a staff member says otherwise. Dogs are not encouraged on the farm, if you do bring a dog onto the yard you do this at your own risk and it must be kept on a LEAD AT ALL TIMES.

Parents/Guardians must stay on site, Children and under 16s must be accompanied by and Adult at ALL TIMES.
